My name is Chanel and I'm a mother of two beautiful children. When my youngest was born I was desperate to get my hands back, so I could continue to provide for my toddler. At this point I attended a sling library, which began my journey into babywearing. Not only did I get my hands back, but the joy of carrying my new baby was overwhelming.
When my youngest was one I attended the School of Babywearing Peer Supporter course, which enabled me to become official help at another local library. In December 2013 I took over The Avon Sling Library, which has since been renamed South Gloucestershire Slings and more recently changed again to The Bristol Sling Library. We now run weekly, with sessions across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
In early 2015 I decided that I would like to take my babywearing career to another level and completed the Slingababy Consultancy Course. Now fully qualified I also offer my services on a one to one basis. I will happily provide consultations in my own home or in yours (distance permitting).
In my other working life I am also an Occupational Therapist and thus have a special interest in providing consultations to those with disabilities or self limiting conditions.
